To become an entomologist you have to study at university where there are many very interesting invertebrate-based subjects to choose from.

Now you might be asking what kinds of jobs can entomologists do?
Well the possibilities are endless! You can work in Zoos, Museums and Wildlife Parks helping to care for and identify insects; you can work in research for the CSIRO or an educational institution to help make new discoveries and you can also work in industry, helping to breed insects for research, Integrated Pest Management and even reptile food.

What do I do? Giant SPiy STick
Well, I have a butterfly and insect farm which I run myself. I use my skills in entomology to give my insects the best possible conditions so that they are happy and healthy. I also use my skills to develop educational kits so that everyone can learn about insects in their own home and I take my collection of insects and other invertebrates to schools and universities to show people how amazing these misunderstood creatures really are. Even though everyone might not like bugs as much as I do I love being an entomologist!
