Are live insects available all year round?
Most insects are available all year round but some insects such as the butterflies for the Creature and Chrysalis kits are not available in colder months due to their natural life cycles. If you would like to order a specific insect please check the availability with our customer service staff before placing an order
How is the live insect delivered?
Once you place your order your insect will be sent to you though Australia Post or another couriers overnight delivery service.
Is it safe to send insects in the post?
It is perfectly OK to send insects in the post. Before the insect is packed off and sent to you, it is given enough food and water to survive 2-3 days in the post. Most packages are delivered the next day so this gives them more than enough food to make the overnight trip. All insects are sent out late in the afternoon and will not be sent if the weather forecast is for extremely hot weather.
I have a Creature Kit or Butterfly Chrysalis kit, how do I order my insect?
Click on the Redeem your code link and enter the information. Our customer service staff will then email to let you know how to make the $15 payment for your insect as well as give you advice on which insect will be best for you.
How long will it take for my order to be delivered?
It can take from 2-14 days for your insect to be delivered. Our customer service staff will advise you of an approximate delivery date when you place your order
Where do you deliver?
We deliver Australia wide for all of our products and can ship international orders as well. Unfortunately we cannot ship live insects in international orders but can ship our other products
Where do you get the insects?
Butterfly Skye’s has a butterfly and insect farm located in Sydney and we breed allot of our live insects here. We also work with other butterfly and insect breeders that supply us with insects so that we have a big supply available all year round.
Can we come to your farm?
Unfortunately our farm is not open to the public
How far does your Creepy Creature Zoo travel?
The zoo travels throughout Sydney and it’s surrounds but we are willing to travel further from time to time. Please feel free to contact us for a quote
